Yesterday morning was spent cruising Ha Long Bay. Such a magnificent place, unbelievably beautiful. One thing I could not help but notice was the massive amounts of trash in the water, especially plastics and plastic bags. Leave it to humans to come in and trash such a wonderful natural environment. Anyway, back to good things. The morning was pleasantly cool, it was nice to not be sweaty and gross for once.
Drove back to Hanoi in the evening, the hotel we stayed at was nice enough to let us use a room to take a quick shower before boarding an overnight train to Hue. The nice lady at the desk even remember I had a sore throat and had bought cough drops for me, all of this at no charge.
